About Kolsen Orton

Kolsen grew up in the Traverse City area, where his family has deep roots in the community. Business owners, police officers, teachers, and community leaders have all played roles in Kolsen’s life. Parents, grandparents, great grandparents, and even great great grandparents have created a strong connection to Traverse City, and the Old Mission Peninsula, and have contributed to Kolsen’s work ethic and commitment to excellence.

As a student, Kolsen was a three-sport varsity athlete- Football, Powerlifting, and Baseball, as well as an honors student who maintained a 3.5 GPA. The highpoint of his athletic career was certainly the 2023 MHSAA Football State Championship, which Kingsley won for the first time since 2005.

Kolsen founded KPO Services in 2025, shortly after graduating from high school, as a means of providing for his education, performing needed services for clients at a high level, and in order to gain practical experience in the founding and execution of a successful business.

Kolsen currently attends Northwestern Michigan College, where he studies business, and is planning to attend Grand Valley University to complete a bachelor’s degree. He continues to pursue athletics, and currently serves as the treasurer of the NMC chapter of Turning Point USA.

Above all, Kolsen seeks to grow in his Christian faith, which he considers to be the foundation of his life.
